Our team driver Chan Chau Man joined the 1/10 Nitro On-Road A Class at Starry Night Cup held in Shenzen. With a lot of top level drivers including Japanese Shimazaki Shinya, the level of competition was very high. And it is very exciting that Chan Chau Man came out successful and won the race.
Eacch driver ran 4 rounds in the qualification with the best result to count for finals. Race was unfortunately affected by heavy rain. Shimazaki Shinya was in the lead and the race was postponed until 6 pm. With no traction after the rain and temperature drop, drivers were ready for qualification rounds 3 and 4. Both Shimazaki Shinya and Chan Chau Man crashed and so at the end of qualification Dang PZ got the TQ and Mr. Chan Chau Man got the 6th position.
The 40 min final race started at 10:00pm, Chan Chau Man kept the 4th position initially. Half way through the race he was in second place getting Dang PZ under pressure, while Shimazaki Shinya was having some technical problems. In the last 20 minutes spectators could watch an interesting battle for the win. Chan Chau Man kept calm and waited for his chance to get in front. A small mistake from Dang let him to take the lead and well-earned win.
